Paddy Procurement through LAMPCs
To ensure Minimum Support Prices (MSP) to the farmers for different varieties of paddy conforming to Fair Average Quality (FAQ) norms, 52 Nos. of LAMPCs enrolled with The Mayurbhanj Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. have procured 355179.06 qts. From 11436 Nos. of Farmers through their 95 nos. of paddy procurement centers [PPCs]. The Bank has played an active role and provided handholding support in this process.
Extended hour of Banking
The decision regarding extended banking hour at branch and extension counter level is still in force to provide facilities to depositors, customers and other stake holders of the bank.
Computerized service
To compete with recent technology adopted by the Nationalized Banks and Private Sector banks, bank has computerized 15 branches Both the Extension Counters, Head office of the bank and a programme has been drawn to computerize all 52 LAMPCs in the District with the support of software engineers of OSCB for providing computerized customer service.
Farmers Club
The Bank has ensured the implementation of Farmers club Programme encouraged by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Such clubs were organised by branches of our banks and LAMPCs with the handholding support of PACS development Cell and financial assistance of NABARD for the mutual benefit of the banks and farmers. These clubs would coordinate with banks to ensure credit flow among its members and forge better bank-borrower relationship, conduct extension programmes, liaison with input suppliers to purchase bulk inputs on behalf of members, and organise joint activities like value addition, processing and collective farm produce marketing for the benefit of members.
PACS DEVELOPMENT CELL
NABARD has introduced “PACS Development Cell” Scheme in District Co-operative Banks for three years with an object of capacity building for over all development of LAMPCs through Training, handholding, guiding and to help LAMPCs in upgrading themselves into one stop shop to meet all needs of farmers. The Mayurbhanj Central Cooperative Bank Ltd have 52 LAMPCs catering to the short term agricultural credit need of the farming community. So the Mayurbhanj Central Co-operative Bank have extended the term of the service period of the PACS Development Cell (PDC) after completion of grant period of NABARD to empower the PACS through business planning, resource planning, profit planning and by legal, institutional financial and technical reforms by implementing a Co-operative Development Action Plan for 3 years with clear targets to achieve.
RTGS / NEFT
To provide advanced facilities to individual customers, companies and firms relating to instant fund transfer from our Bank to another, The Mayurbhanj Central Cooperative Bank Ltd has implemented Real Time Gross Settlement [RTGS] and National Electronic Fund Transfer [NEFT] facilities in association with Odisha state cooperative bank ltd.
BANKS on WHEEL [ MOBILE BANKING SERVICE ]
Our Bank has introduced “Banking on Wheels” to Provide facilities to rural public of untouched area of Shyamakhunta, Thakurmunda and Karanjia Blocks It is well furnished with AC System, ATM, Customer Counter, Manager Cabin and well equipped with Computer Systems.
ICDP SCHEME
The Mayurbhanj Central Cooperative bank has taken an initiative to mobilize National Cooperative Development Corporation fund for implementation of Integrated Cooperative Development Project through State Government under Two heads (i) Loan and (ii) Subsidy. The Loan is for creation of infrastructure and subsidy is for project implementation, HR Development, training, Monitoring and incentive for societies enrolled with the bank.
